iQOO 8 and iQOO 8 Pro have been launched in China. The iQOO 8 duo have arrived as the successors to the Snapdragon 888 powered iQOO 7 that debuted back in January. The iQOO 8 series offers users the more powerful Snapdragon 888 Plus mobile platform.

The iQOO 8 models are equipped with 120Hz OLED panels. While the vanilla model features a 48-megapixel triple camera system, the Pro model sports a 50-megapixel triple camera unit. The new flagships support 120W fast wired and wireless charging.

iQOO 8 and iQOO 8 Pro have launched with a 120Hz display and Snapdragon 888/888 Plus chipset

The iQOO 8 has a 6.56-inch flat OLED panel that supports a Full HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,376 pixels, 10-bit colours, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an optical in-screen fingerprint scanner. On the other side, the iQOO 8 Pro has a 6.78-inch Samsung E5 AMOLED screen with curved edges. The LTPO panel supports 1Hz – 120Hz dynamic refresh rate, quad HD+ resolution of 1,440 x 3,200 pixels, 10-bit colours, DC dimming, and ultrasonic in-display fingerprint reader. Both models offer a screen-to-body ratio of around 92 percent.

The iQOO 8 is powered by the Snapdragon 888, whereas the iQOO 8 Pro features the Snapdragon 888+ chip. The iQOO 8 duo will offer users up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It comes preinstalled with OriginOS 1.0 based Android 11.

The display punch-hole of the iQOO 8 series features a 16-megapixel selfie camera. The iQOO 8’s triple camera unit has a 48-megapixel Sony IMX598 primary camera, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 13-megapixel telephoto snapper. The Pro model’s triple camera system features an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 main camera, a 48-megapixel Sony IMX598 ultra-wide lens, and a 16-megapixel telephoto camera.

The iQOO 8 has a 4,350mAh battery with support for 120W wired fast charging. On the other hand, the Pro model houses a 4,500mAh battery that offers 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging apart, from 120W wired fast charging. Both models offer dual SIM, 5G/4G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, X-axis (iQOO 8) / Z-axis (Pro) linear motor, face unlock, CS43131 audio chip (only on Pro), NFC, GPS, and a USB Type-C port.

iQOO 8, 8 Pro pricing and availability

The iQOO 8 has arrived in two options such as 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. They are priced at RMB 3,799 (~Rs 43,600) and RMB 4,199 (~Rs 48,150), respectively. It comes in three hues – white, black, and orange.

On the other side, the iQOO 8 Pro models such as 8GB RAM + 256GB storage, 12GB RAM + 256GB storage, and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage are priced at RMB 4,999 (~Rs 57,300), RMB 5,549 (~Rs 63,600), and RMB 5,999 (~Rs 68,800), respectively. It comes in white and black colours.
