iQOO 9, 9 Pro, 9 SE launched in India: first sale date on Amazon, price, specifications

The iQOO 9, iQOO 9 Pro, and iQOO 9 SE have been launched in India. The all-new iQOO 9 series for India is powered by three different Snapdragon 8-series chipsets. The iQOO 9 and 9 Pro have arrived as successors for the iQOO 7 (review) and iQOO 7 Legend that were announced back in April 2021.

The iQOO 9 SE is the first ‘SE’ branded model from the company for the Indian market. It is an affordable flagship that will rival the likes of the Xiaomi 11T series, the OnePlus 9RT, and the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE. iQOO 9 SE price in India

The iQOO 9 SE comes in 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variants. It can be bought in colors like Space Fusion and Sunset Sierra.

The iQOO 9 series will be available for purchase through iQOO India’s website and Amazon India. The company is yet to confirm its first sale date. The vanilla and Pro models are now up for pre-orders through these platforms starting from today. The 9 SE will be available for pre-orders beginning from March 2nd, 2022.

iQOO 9 SE features Snapdragon 888 and 48MP triple cameras

The iQOO 9 SE 5G has a 6.62-inch AMOLED display that offers a Full HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Snapdragon 888 is present under the hood of the device. It has a 4,500mAh battery that carries support for 66W fast charging. For photography, it has a 16-megapixel front-facing camera and a 48-megapixel (main, with OIS) + 13-megapixel (120-degree ultrawide) + 2-megapixel (macro) triple camera unit.

The iQOO 9 5G houses a 6.56-inch AMOLED screen that delivers 1,080 x 2,376 pixels Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Snapdragon 888 Plus along with a 4,500mAh battery powers the iQOO 9 5G. It carries support for 120W fast charging. The front side of the device has a 16-megapixel selfie camera. Its rear camera setup has a 50-megapixel main camera, a 13-megapixel ultrawide lens with a 120-degree FOV, and a 13-megapixel telephoto snapper with 2x optical zoom.

iQOO 9 Pro specifications and features

The iQOO 9 Pro 5G is fitted with a larger and advanced 6.78-inch E5 AMOLED LTPO 2.0 screen that offers a Quad HD+ resolution and a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The handset is powered by Qualcomm’s most powerful chip, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. It has a 4,700mAh battery with 120W rapid charging and 50W wireless charging. Like other iQOO 9 series models, the Pro variant also features a 16-megapixel selfie camera. Its rear-facing triple camera unit has a gimbal OIS-assisted 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera with a 150-degree FOV, and an OIS-enabled 16-megapixel telephoto lens with 2.5x optical zoom.

The iQOO 9 series is equipped with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. All three phones come preinstalled with Android 12 OS overlaid with iQOO UI, an independent display chip for the enhanced visual experience, and dual stereo speakers. The company offers an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint, which works even with wet fingers, with the iQOO 9 Pro. On the other side, the iQOO 9 and 9 SE are equipped with an optical in-screen fingerprint scanner. All three models lack a 3.5mm audio jack and a microSD card slot.

For an enhanced gaming experience, the iQOO 9 SE gets a Z-axis linear motor, the iQOO 9 features a dual X-axis linear motor, and the iQOO 9 Pro has an X-axis linear motor. While the Pro model supports 13 5G bands, the iQOO 9 and 9 SE supports 8 5G bands.
