iQOO 9 and 9 Pro smartphones have been spotted on benchmarking platform Geekbench. The former carries a model number V2171A while the latter has a model number V2172A. The listing reveals key specifications of the upcoming offerings.

The iQOO 9 series is confirmed to launch in China on January 5th. Additionally, the Vivo sub-brand has also teased the design and key features of the iQOO 9 series. The upcoming smartphones will debut as the successors to this year’s iQOO 8 series.
iQOO 9, 9 Pro passes Geekbench platform
Beginning with the standard iQOO 9, the smartphone is listed with Qualcomm chipset codenamed ‘taro’. It is based on three cluster design paired with Adreno 730 GPU suggesting that the processor is Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. The Geekbench listing also mentions that the device will pack 12GB RAM and run on Android 12 OS out of the box. The standard model scores 1,233 and 3,674 points in single-core and multi-core tests.
As for the iQOO 9 Pro, the device carries a model number V2172A. It is listed on Geekbench with the same specifications as the regular variant. However, the Pro model scores higher points i.e. 1,277 and 3,787 in single-core and multi-core tests. Apart from the Geekbench listing, the iQO 9 Pro had also passed China’s 3C certification revealing that it will support 120W fast charging.
Apart from the Geekbench listing, the iQOO 9 series is rumoured to come with an AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is expected to be backed by a 4,700mAh battery unit. Both the standard and Pro variants are tipped to sport triple rear cameras.
