iQOO 9 series has been launched in China today. The lineup consists of standard and Pro variants. The latest offerings are the successors to the iQOO 8 and 8 Pro that debuted in August last year.

Prior to today’s launch, the Vivo sub-brand had teased a few key specifications of the latest iQOO 9 series. The smartphones come with Qualcomm’s latest flagship processor, new design and more. Read on to know what the iQOO 9 series offers out of the box.

Beginning with the display, the iQOO 9 series sport a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a centre-aligned punch-hole cutout, 120Hz refresh rate and an integrated fingerprint scanner. The standard variant comes with a flat screen and FHD+ resolution whereas the Pro model features curved edges with QHD+ resolution and LTPO technology that offers variable refresh rates.

The iQOO 9 Pro’s display also offers 1,500 nits brightness, 10-bit colours and 517 ppi density. Design-wise, the iQOO 9 duo are equipped with an elongated rectangular camera module on the back. The smartphone also comes in a BMW M motorsport edition that features the automaker’s trademark Red, Black and Blue vertical stripes.

In the photography department, the iQOO 9 series features a triple-rear camera setup. The vanilla variant has an OIS enabled 50MP Samsung GN5 primary lens paired with a 13MP ultra-wide sensor and a 12MP portrait unit. On the other hand, the configuration on the Pro model includes a main 50MP Samsung GN5 sensor with support for Gimbal OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide shooter with 150-degree FoV, and a 16MP portrait snapper. Both the regular and Pro models feature a 16MP front-facing selfie camera. 

Under the hood, the iQOO 9 series is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. The devices pack up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage. The iQOO 9 duo are backed by a 4,700mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging. The Pro variant also features 50W wireless and 10W reverse wireless charging support.

Software-wise, the smartphones run on Android 12 with OriginOS skinned on the top. Connectivity options on the iQOO 9 series include 5G, 4G LTE, USB-C port, 3.5mm jack, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS and NFC.

The iQOO 9 is offered in 8GB + 128GB, 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB configurations. These are priced at RMB 3,999 (~ Rs 46,817), RMB 4,399 (~ Rs 51,500), and RMB 4,799 (~ Rs 56183) respectively. 

The IQOO 9 Pro comes in 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB options carrying a price tag of RMB 4,999 (~ Rs 58,524), RMB 5,499 ( ~ Rs 64,377) and RMB 5,999 (~ Rs 70,231) respectively.
