iQOO 9 series is tipped to launch in India soon. According to a report by Indo-Asian News Service (IANS), iQOO CEO Nipun Marya stated the smartphone’s arrival in the country. However, the exact launch timeline remains a mystery.
The iQOO 9 and 9 Pro smartphones debuted in China earlier this week. The Vivo sub-brand hasn’t made any official announcement regarding the launch of upcoming offerings in India yet.
iQOO 9 series to launch in India soon
The iQOO 9 series India launch details were revealed alongside another announcement. The iQOO 7 Legend will be the official smartphone for the ongoing Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGMIS) finals. The semifinals are set to begin from January 7th till 10th while the finals will take place from January 13th.
Rumours suggest that the Vivo sub-brand could make the announcement on iQOO 9 series India launch during the BGMIS finals.
Nipun Marya told IANS that “iQOO wants to be aggressive and cater to the segment of young people who are passionate about gaming and e-sports, and wish to play mobile games on high-performing devices. iQOO seems to be a perfect choice for this community,”
It’s worth noting that iQOO hasn’t launched the iQOO 8 series in India. The upcoming iQOO 9 series is expected to arrive as the successor to the iQOO 7 series. The lineup will consist of a standard and Pro variant and the Indian variants of both smartphones will likely pack the same specifications as their Chinese counterparts.
