Chinese smartphone manufacturer iQOO, a sub-brand of Vivo, confirmed the launch of its iQOO Neo 3 smartphone and several specifications earlier this month. Now, the brand has gone ahead and launched the smartphone in its home market of China. The smartphone flaunts premium features like flagship Snapdragon 865 SoC, 144Hz display, punch-hole screen, triple cameras and more. The latest launch joins the iQOO 3 5G (review), Neo 855 Racing Edition, iQOO Neo, iQOO Pro and others in iQOO’s lineup. Coming in as a mid-range offering, the handset offers a lot of premium features, which is a standard for iQOO. Let’s take a look at all features of the newest launch.
iQOO Neo 3 specifications and features
The iQOO Neo 3 comes flaunting a large 6.57-inch punch-hole display with super-smooth 144Hz refresh rate and FHD+ screen resolution. The 20:9 display supports HDR10 and offers an impressive screen-to-body ratio of 90.4 percent. For performance, the iQOO Neo 3 gets the octa-core Snapdragon 865 SoC ticking at its core. The 7nm processor is backed by Adreno 650 GPU and also offers 5G connectivity. iQOO is offering the Neo 3 in four variants – 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB, 12GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. The smartphone is powered by a 4,500mAh battery with 44W fast charging support and boots Android 10 based iQOO UI out of the box. For security, there is a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and face unlock.
The rectangular island in the top left corner on the back is housing a 48MP Super Clear primary camera, which is further accompanied by an 8MP super wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro camera. For selfie and video calling, the single punch-hole cutout on the front is housing a 16MP shooter. The camera app is loaded with features like PDAF, digital zoom, night mode, scene recognition and more. Other features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB Type-C, 3.5mm audio jack and NFC among others.
iQOO Neo 3 price and availability
iQOO is offering the Neo 3 in two colours – Dark Night and Sky Blue. As for the pricing, the device will set you back by RMB 2,698 (~Rs 29,000), RMB 2,998 (~Rs 32,200), RMB 3,298 (~Rs 35,400) and RMB 3,398 (~Rs 36,500) for 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB, 12GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB variants, respectively. The smartphone will be made available starting this month in China, however, there’s no word on the India launch.
