iQOO Neo 5 series has been launched in China today. The lineup consists of iQOO Neo 5S and Neo 5SE. Prior to the launch, the Vivo sub-brand had teased a few specifications of the latest smartphones.

The iQOO Neo 5S and Neo 5SE come with an identical design. However, the two smartphones pack different internals. The Neo 5S is a more premium offering among the two devices. Read on to know what the iQOO Neo 5S and Neo 5SE offer out of the box.
iQOO Neo 5S and Neo 5SE specifications and features
Beginning with the display on the iQOO Neo 5S, the device offers an FHD+ AMOLED display measuring 6.56-inches. It features a 120Hz refresh rate along with an independent display chip that is said to offer an enhanced visual experience. On the other hand, the iQOO Neo 5SE features a 6.3-inch FHD+ LCD screen with a higher 144Hz refresh rate.
In terms of design, both smartphones have a center-aligned punch-hole cutout. The back panel houses a rectangular camera island. The iQOO Neo 5S and Neo 5SE are equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner integrated with the power button.
On the imaging front, the iQOO Neo 5 series come with triple rear cameras. The setup on the Neo 5S comprises a 48MP primary Sony IMX598 sensor with OIS support paired with a 13MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro unit. The Neo 5SE features a 50MP main shooter while the other two sensors include an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro shooter. Up front, the iQOO Neo 5S and Neo 5SE feature 16MP selfie cameras.
Under the hood, the iQOO Neo 5S is powered by a Snapdragon 888 processor whereas the Neo 5SE is equipped with a Snapdragon 870 SoC. The former also houses a heat dissipation system featuring rare earth materials. The iQOO Neo 5 duo pack up to 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage. The Neo 5S and 5 SE are backed by a 4,500mAh battery cell with support for 66W and 55W fast charging respectively.
The iQOO Neo 5 series ships with Vivo’s new OriginOS Ocean based on the latest Android 12 out of the box. Connectivity options on both smartphones include a USB-C port, 5G, 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, and dual stereo speakers.
iQOO Neo 5S and Neo 5SE pricing and availability
The iQOO Neo 5S is offered in three colour options i.e. Night Travel Space, Sunset Canyon and Orange Light whereas the Neo 5SE comes in Main Shadow Blue, Phantom colour, Rock Crystal White.
The iQOO Neo 5 duo come in three RAM and storage configurations i.e. 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB. The base variant of the Neo 5S is priced at RMB 2,699 (~Rs 32,115) while the 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB options cost RMB 2,899 (~Rs 34,501) and RMB 3,199 (~Rs 38,071) respectively. The same configurations of the iQOO Neo 5SE carry a price tag of RMB 2,199 (~Rs 26,170), RMB 2,399 (~Rs 28,547) and RMB 2,599 (~Rs 30,926) respectively.
