Vivo’s sub-brand, iQOO launched a new mid-range smartphone called the iQOO Z1x in China today. This is a toned-down variant of the iQOO Z1, which was launched on May 19th as the world’s first phone to be powered by the new MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ 5G chipset. Despite being a watered-down variant, the iQOO Z1x specifications look great for a mid-range gaming device.
The iQOO Z1x highlights a 120Hz display, Snapdragon 765G SoC, 33W fast charging tech, and 48MP quad rear cameras. The smartphone has already gone on sale in China and is being offered in four configurations and four colour variants. Let’s take a look at what iQOO Z1x brings in terms of specifications.
iQOO Z1x specifications and features
The iQOO Z1x features a 6.57-inch LCD display with 2,408 x 1,080 pixels screen resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and 20:9 aspect ratio. Taking care of the performance is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC, which is backed by the Adreno 620 GPU. iQOO is offering the new launch in three configurations – 6GB + 64GB, 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. The phone features an 85mm long liquid cooling tube, graphite sheet, and the intelligent Cooling Turbo technology.
In the camera department, the iQOO Z1x offers a 48MP primary sensor, 2MP macro lens and 2MP depth sensor. The punch-hole cutout on the front is housing a 16MP selfie camera. The phone boots Android 10-based iQOO UI 1.0 out of the box and is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support.
Other features of the smartphone include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS/GLONASS, and 3.5mm headphone jack.
iQOO Z1x price and availability
The iQOO Z1x price is set at RMB 1,598 (~Rs 17,000) and RMB 1,798 (~Rs 19,000) for the 6GB + 64GB and 7GB + 128GB variants, respectively. The 8GB RAM + 128GB and 8GB RAM + 256GB will retail at RMB 1,998 (~Rs 21,000) and RMB 2,298 (~Rs 24,500), respectively. The smartphone is already on sale in China and can be brought in Sea Azure, Sharo Cool Black, and Water White colours.
