[Update: September 21st, 2021]: The Amazon India listing has confirmed that the Indian variant of the iQOO Z5 will feature the Snapdragon 778G chupset, LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.

iQOO Z5 5G is officially confirmed to debut in India on September 27th at 12pm. The Vivo sub-brand has shared media invite for the upcoming smartphone. It was earlier listed on Amazon with a ‘coming soon’ tag.
The iQOO Z5 5G India launch will happen three days after its debut in China on September 23rd. The media invite also gives us a first look at the upcoming smartphone. Additionally, the brand has also been teasing the iQOO Z5 5G on its Twitter handle.
iQOO Z5 5G to launch in India on September 27th
Apart from revealing the launch date and time of the iQOO Z5 5G, the media invite poster also gives us a glimpse of the smartphone’s back panel. It will sport a triple rectangular camera module housing vertically stacked sensors with an LED flash sitting beside the last sensor. The power and volume rocker buttons can be seen on the right edge of the upcoming offering. It’s likely that the power button will double up as a fingerprint scanner.
Apart from this, the details about iQOO Z5 5G remain scarce at the moment. The brand’s China handle has revealed key specifications of the smartphone ahead of launch, so we can expect the India variant to also come with the same specs.

In China, the iQOO Z5 5G is confirmed to come with a center-aligned display with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10 support. For audiophiles, it will be equipped with stereo speakers.
Internally, the iQOO Z5 5G is confirmed to be powered by Snapdragon 778G SoC with support for LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage technology. It will be fuelled by a 5,000mAh battery unit.
