iQOO Z5 5G has launched in India as the successor to the iQO Z3 5G (review) that was announced in June. The smartphone is the third offering from the Vivo sub-brand to launch in India this year. The iQOO Z5 has already been launched in China, so we already knew its specifications and design. The Indian variant of the smartphone is identical to the Chinese variant, except for the 8GB + 256GB model, which didn’t launch here.

iQOO entered the Indian smartphone market last year with the iQOO 3 (review). The iQOO Z5, like other iQOO phones, will be available exclusively on Amazon India. Here’s everything we know about the latest smartphone from the brand.
iQOO Z5 5G: launch date
The iQOO Z5 5G has launched on September 27th. The launch event kicked off at 12pm and was live streamed on iQOO’s official YouTube channel, social media handles, and Amazon.
iQOO Z5 5G: price in India
iQOO Z5 has been launched in two variants in India – 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. It can be purchased in Mystic Space and Artic Dawn colours. Below are the prices of the two variants.

iQOO Z5 5G: sale date on Amazon
Like previous iQOO smartphones, the upcoming Z5 5G will be an Amazon-exclusive device. It will also be available for purchase through the brand’s India online store. The iQOO Z5 is scheduled to go on sale via Amazon’s upcoming Great Indian Shopping Festival on October 3rd.

High refresh rate display
The iQOO Z5 5G features a 120Hz refresh rate LCD display with a centre-aligned punch-hole cutout. The smartphone comes with a 6.67-inch screen bearing FHD+ resolution.
Snapdragon 778G processor
Under the hood, the iQOO Z5 5G is equipped with a Snapdragon 778G processor coupled with Adreno 670 GPU. It is said to offer 40 percent improved CPU and GPU performance. The chipset also supports 5G connectivity. The smartphone comes with the latest LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
Design and camera
The iQOO Z5 5G has a center-aligned placed punch-hole cutout on the front. There is a power and volume rocker button on the right edge of the device with the former also doubling up as a fingerprint scanner. The back panel houses a triple camera setup in a rectangular module comprising a 64MP main Samsung ISOCELL GW3 sensor. It comes with Super Night Mode for clicking pictures in low light.
Linear Motor and VC cooling system
The iQOO Z5 5G comes with Linear Motor that offers a faster response and 4D vibration for an immersive gaming experience. Internally, the smartphone is also confirmed to be equipped with a large-sized 28837mm2 liquid-cooling system, which reduces the surface temperature of the device by up to 3-degrees Celsius and CPU core temperature by up to 12-degrees Celsius.
Big battery and fast charging
The iQOO Z5 5G draws its power from a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 44W fast charging technology. This is the same as the smartphone’s China variant.

Apart from these, the iQOO Z5 5G has Android 11. It offers 650 nits brightness, HDR10 support, and a 16MP front-facing camera. Apart from a 64MP primary camera, the iQOO Z5 5G has an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro unit.
