iQOO Z5 has been launched in India. The Z5 has arrived as a successor to the iQOO Z3 that debuted with a Snapdragon 768G chipset earlier this year. The new phone is powered by the new Snapdragon 778G chipset, which will also be seen on upcoming smartphones such as the Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G and Samsung Galaxy M52 5G.

The iQOO Z5 comes in two models, 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 12GB RAM + 256GB storage. The handset comes in three colour options like Mystic Space and Artic Dawn.

iQOO Z5 first sale date in India

The iQOO Z5 is scheduled on sale via Amazon’s upcoming Great Indian Shopping Festival on October 3rd. It will be also available through iQOO India’s e-store.

The iQOO Z5 will be available with Rs 3,000 off between October 3rd and October 12th. Buyers can also take advantage of other offers such as flat Rs 1500 off through HDFC Bank debit/credit cards and EMI transactions, flat Rs 1,500 off with Amazon coupon, no-cost EMI of up to 9 months, and 6 months free screen replacement.

iQOO Z5 is powered by the Snapdragon 778G chip

The iQOO Z5 houses a 6.67-inch IPS LCD panel with a punch-hole cutout. It offers Full HD+ resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, up to 120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, P3 colour gamut, and HDR10. The handset runs on FunTouch OS based on Android 11.

The Z5 is powered by the Snapdragon 778G mobile platform. It is equipped with 8GB of LPPDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The smartphone is fuelled by a 5,000mAh battery. Unlike the Z3 that supported 55W fast charging, the Z5 offers 44W fast charging. According to iQOO, the Z5 can go from 0 to 50 percent in just 23 minutes. It has a large-sized 28837mm2 liquid-cooling system, which reduces the surface temperature of the device by up to 3-degrees Celsius and CPU core temperature by up to 12-degrees Celsius.

Its rear camera setup is headlined by a 64-megapixel Samsung GW3 primary camera with an f/1.79 aperture. It is equipped with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 2-megapixel macro camera. It has a 16-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

The iQOO Z5 has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It offers other features like dual-SIM support, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, a USB Type-C port, dual stereo speakers, and a 3.5mm audio headphone jack.
