Highlights

  • iQOO Z7 Pro 5G Indian variant has appeared on Geekbench
  • It is found to be equipped with the Snapdragon 782G
  • It appears to be a rebranded version of the China variant of the iQOO Z7

iQOO Z7 Pro 5G India launch seems to be drawing near. According to our exclusive report from last month, the iQOO Z7 Pro 5G heading to the Indian market has the I2213 model number. The said device has now appeared on Geekbench, which indicates that the company could be internally testing its performance before its launch.

As the moniker indicates, the iQOO Z7 Pro 5G will be positioned higher than the Dimensity 920-powered iQOO Z7 5G, which went official earlier this week. The iQOO Z6 Pro 5G was announced in April last year. Hence, it is likely that its successor may arrive in the same month this year.

The Geekbench appearance of the iQOO Z7 Pro 5G has revealed that it is powered by a Qualcomm chip, which offers a prime CPU core working at 2.71GHz, three CPU cores running at 2.40GHz, and four CPU cores operating at 1.80GHz. The SoC is coupled with the Adreno 642L. The CPU and GPU details that have surfaced reveal that the device is equipped with the Snapdragon 782G chipset.

Hence, it appears that the iQOO Z7 Pro 5G will be the first device to launch with the Snapdragon 782G chip in the Indian market. As can be seen above, multiple listings of the device have appeared on Geekbench. All of them show that it is equipped with the SD782G chip, 12GB of RAM, and Android 13 OS.

iQOO Z7 Pro 5G specifications (expected)

iQOO recently launched the iQOO Z7i, iQOO Z7x, and iQOO Z7 in the Chinese market. These phones are powered by the Dimensity 6020, Snapdragon 695, and Snapdragon 782G chipsets, respectively. It appears that China’s Z7 will be rebranded as the iQOO Z7 Pro 5G in the Indian market.

The iQOO Z7 Pro 5G heading to India is likely to feature a 6.64-inch LCD display that produces an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will have a 16-megapixel front camera and a 64-megapixel (main, with OIS) + 2-megapixel (macro) dual-camera system on the back. For security, it will be equipped with a side-facing fingerprint scanner.

The SD782G-powered device will arrive with up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It will pack a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging. It will run on the FunTouch OS 13-based Android 13.
