  • It is tipped to feature a 5G-ready Snapdragon 4-series
  • It could be the iQOO Z6 Lite

iQOO is working on a new Z-series phone for the Indian market. Publication My Smart Price has learnt key details about the device through industry sources. It looks like it could be one of the most affordable 5G smartphones in India when it comes out.

The iQOO Z6 lineup in India includes three devices, such as the iQOO Z6 5G, iQOO Z6 Pro 5G, and iQOO Z6 44W. Recent reports have revealed that the iQOO Z6 Lite 5G and iQOO Z6 Pro SE are the two upcoming Z-series phones for India. The publication has said that the iQOO Z6 Lite 5G could be the cheap iQOO phone that will come out soon in India.

The report states that iQOO will announce its most affordable 5G smartphone in September in India. It will be powered by a Snapdragon 4-series chip, which means it could have either the Snapdragon 480 or the Snapdragon 480 Plus chipset.

As mentioned above, the iQOO Z6 Lite 5G and Z6 Pro SE are the two Z-series that are expected to debut soon in India. Unfortunately, the rumour mill is yet to leak the specifications of both devices. However, the report speculates that iQOO’s low-priced 5G phone to debut next month could be the Z6 Lite 5G.

At present, the iQOO Z6 5G, which is priced at Rs 15,499, is the most affordable 5G-ready iQOO phone in India. Hence, it appears that the alleged iQOO Z6 Lite 5G may debut with a sub-Rs 15,000 price.

Last year, iQOO unveiled the Snapdragon 480-powered iQOO U3x in China. The device features a 6.58-inch FHD+ 90Hz display, an 8-megapixel front camera, 13-megapixel dual rear cameras, 4GB / 6GB of RAM, 64GB / 128GB storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging. It remains to be seen whether the Z6 Lite 5G arrives as a rebranded version of the U3x or an entirely different phone.
