The Itel A26 has been launched in India. It is yet another A-series entry-level smartphone. The modest phone offers a tall aspect ratio display, a medium-sized battery, and it runs on a lighter version of Android.

The A26 also offers some handy features such as WhatsApp call recording, peek mode for checking received messages without sending read receipts, and Status save for downloading a contact’s WhatsApp status in the phone’s storage. Itel is also offering a one-time screen replacement offer to the buyers of the A26.

The Itel A26 has a 5.7-inch IPS display that offers an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1,520 pixels and a 19:9 aspect ratio. The handset runs Android 10 (Go Edition).

The Unisoc SC9832e chipset is present under the hood of the Itel A26. It is assisted by 2GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage. Users can add up to 64GB of microSD card on the device for additional storage.

The vertical camera module on the back panel of the Itel A26 has a 5-megapixel main camera and a VGA lens. The device sports a 2MP front camera. It draws power from a 3,020mAh battery that supports only 5W charging.

The Itel A26 lacks a fingerprint scanner, but it comes with support for smart face unlock. On the connectivity front, the handset offers dual SIM slot, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, a microUSB port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Itel A26 has arrived with a price tag of Rs 5,999 in India. It comes in three colours such as Gradation Green, Light Purple, and Deep Blue. Itel is providing a one-time free screen replacement for a broken display within 100 days of purchase.
