iVOOMi releases JeetX and JeetX 180 electric scooters in India: Price, features, availability

  • This follows the recent release of the iVOOMi S1 electric scooter
  • Both new scooters feature a swappable/removable battery
  • The high-end model won’t reach customers until the end of September

The electric scooter market in India has seen the arrival of numerous vehicles over the past couple of years. With Ola’s S1 and S1 Pro launching last year, and a refreshed version breaking cover recently, existing scooter manufacturers are beginning to feel the pinch. iVOOMi Energy is now joining the crowded segment with the launch of its JeetX and JeetX 180 electric scooters, following the recent arrival of the iVOOMi S1.

According to the manufacturer, both JeetX and JeetX 180 are produced in India, with their primary highlight being speed. The company says these scooters can go as fast as 70 kmph, which is a significant upgrade over most electric scooters in the country.

iVOOMi JeetX and JeetX 180 features

The two scooters look tailormade for the Indian market, with some hints of the iconic Vespa design. Customers can get the scooter in Scarlet Red, Posh White, Space Grey, and Ink Blue colours, iVOOMi said. The pricier JeetX 180 offers a range of more than 200 kilometres on a full charge when riding on eco-mode and 180 km while using sports mode. Meanwhile, the basic JeetX can run for 100+ km on eco-mode and around 90 km in the standard riding mode.

Among the most exciting aspects of the JeetX and JeetX 180 is the dual swappable battery accessory, enabling riders to simply replace the battery with a fully charged unit. This would also be compatible with iVOOMi’s other electric scooters, such as the S1. The battery on the JeetX scooters comes with an impressive 3-year warranty.

Additionally, JeetX and JeetX 180 owners get the Easy Shift feature which allows seamless switching of modes (eco-mode, sports mode, etc). The electric scooters also include disc brakes with Combi Braking System or CBS, a dedicated reverse gear, and a revolutionary “touchless footrest,” enabling the rider to expand the footrest or close it without bending down to push a lever or button.

iVOOMi JeetX and JeetX 180 price and availability

Prices for the entry-level JeetX start from Rs 1 lakh, whereas the JeetX 180 will cost up to Rs 1.4 lakhs. Bookings for the two scooters open on September 1, while the JeetX will be available on the same day. However, the JeetX 180 will only be available by the end of September. Additionally, customers who book either of the JeetX scooters on or before September 10 are eligible to receive free accessories worth Rs 3,000 as part of the company’s early bird offer.
