Jio Phone 5G key specifications have surfaced online. Publication 91Mobiles has procured information on the telecom operator’s upcoming smartphone from developer Kuba Wojciechowski. 

The Jio Phone 5G’s existence is already confirmed by Reliance at the company’s AGM held last month. It will arrive as the successor to the last year’s Jio Phone Next. The exact launch timeline of the device remains a mystery but we expect it to arrive soon considering the rollout of 5G services next month.

Jio Phone 5G specifications leaked

This time, developer Kuba Wojciechowski has spotted specifications about the Jio Phone 5G in its firmware. It is listed with codename ‘Ganga’ and has a model number LS1654QB5. 

The Jio Phone 5G will feature a 6.5-inch LCD display bearing an HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. It will come dual rear camera setup of a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP macro lens. On the front, it has an 8MP selfie snapper. 

Internally, the Jio Phone 5G will be equipped with a Snapdragon 480 SoC which is Qualcomm’s entry-level 5G compatible processor. There’s also a Syntiant NDP115 always-on AI processor onboard. The device packs 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and 32GB onboard storage. The smartphone will reportedly be powered by a 5,000mAh battery unit with support for 18W fast charging. Lastly, the Jio Phone 5G is expected to run on Android 12 OS out of the box with Google Mobile Services and a suite of Jio apps. 

Apart from the core specifications, the Jio Phone 5G’s design remains a mystery. As per a recent report, the device is tipped to be priced between the Rs 8,000 – Rs 10,000 price bracket.
