Jio Phone 5G was earlier spotted on the Geekbench, and now the smartphone has been spotted at the BIS Certification site. Good folds at MySmartPrice have spotted the forthcoming smartphone. Unfortunately, this new leak does not give away anything new. However, it does confirm the serial number of the smartphone. The earlier leak on Geekbench had revealed that the smartphone bears the model number “Jio LS1654QB5.” It was also revealed that the codename given to this converted smartphone is “Ganga”. Much like the other Jio smartphones, this smartphone is also launched in partnership with LYF.

The earlier leaks have suggested all the key details about the smartphone, including that it will be running on Android 12. It was also revealed that the motherboard on board this smartphone is codenamed ‘holi’. It corresponds to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480+. It is a budget 5G chipset suggesting that the Jio Phone 5G could also be a budget offering. Additionally, Qualcomm and Jio have been working together since last year’s Jio Phone Next. The processor will be paired with Adreno 619 GPU.
The Jio Phone 5G is also expected to have a 6.5-inch display bearing an HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. For the optics, it is tipped to feature a 13MP + 2MP dual rear camera and an 8MP front snapper. The smartphone will reportedly be backed by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. The Jio Phone 5G will pack 4GB RAM and the word on the street is that it will be priced between Rs 8,000 – Rs 10,000 segment.
