New Jio recharge plans in denominations of Rs 499, Rs 666, Rs 888, Rs 2,599, and Rs 549 have been announced in India. While the first four are all-rounder packs, the Rs 549 recharge plan is a data add-on recharge. All plans offer a subscription to Disney+ Hotstar mobile. The new plans have been launched as a response to Disney+ Hotstar revising its subscription plan into three tiers – Mobile, Super, and Premium. All three plans now offer unrestricted content to users with limitations on the number of devices supported and resolution offered.

Considering Jio only offered Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription for free with its prepaid plan in the past, a revision was due soon. The new recharge plans will be available for recharge starting September 1st, 2021, the same day when new Disney+ Hotstar plans come into effect. Jio announces five new recharge plans with unrestricted Disney+ Hotstar access
Jio recharge plans in the past offered free annual subscription of Disney+ Hotstar VIP plan to its users. The VIP membership was priced at Rs 399 per year and offered limited content access with ads. However, the OTT platform revised its plans to introduce three new tiers last month with unlimited access to all content and no ads.
As a response to this change, Jio has introduced unlimited Disney+ Hotstar mobile access for a year with four new plans along with the existing Rs 2,599 annual pack. Users will now be able to enjoy unrestricted Disney+ Hotstar content including Disney+ originals, Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, HBO, FX, and Showtime titles, among others.
Jio has also announced that existing Jio customers on active Disney+ Hotstar plans will be able to continue enjoying the existing benefits until their current Disney+ Hotstar subscription ends. The new recharge plans will be available from September 1st.

Jio Rs 499 recharge plan
This is the most affordable Jio recharge plan with unlimited Disney+ Hotstar mobile access for a year. The Rs 499 Jio recharge plan comes with a validity of 28 days and offers unlimited voice calling and SMS benefits. Additionally, users who subscribe to this plan will be able to enjoy 3GB of data per day for the duration of the validity. Jio is also offering additional 6GB data with this plan.
Jio Rs 666 recharge plan
Next up is the Rs 666 Jio recharge plan which comes with the validity of 56 days. The plan offers 2GB of data per day plus 5GB additional free data and free unlimited voice calling and SMS benefits. The Disney+ Hotstar mobile membership is the same as the Rs 499 recharge plan.
Jio Rs 888 recharge plan
The Jio Rs 888 recharge plan is the same as the above two plans. However, this one comes with a validity of 3 months (84 days). Other benefits like Disney+ Hotstar mobile membership, unlimited voice calls, and free SMS remain the same.
Jio Rs 2,599 recharge plan
The Jio Rs 2,599 recharge plan is an existing pack that is ideal for those who want a long-term plan. This is an annual plan, which comes with a validity of 365 days. Other benefits of the plan remains the same as that of the Rs 888 recharge plan. Jio is also offering free 10GB of additional data with this plan.
Jio Rs 549 data add-on pack
The Rs 549 plan is a data add-on pack that offers 1.5GB data per day for 56 days with no calling and SMS benefits. It comes with a one-year subscription to Disney+ Hotstar mobile.
