Reliance Jio hikes price of Rs 222 Disney+ Hotstar add-on pack

On: October 19, 2020

Jio had introduced a Rs 222 voucher with a free one year Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscription for its existing annual plan subscribers back in June. This pack was launched for those who were already subscribed to a Jio annual plan and couldn’t avail the just-launched Disney+ Hotstar VIP plans back then. Jio has now hiked the price of this add-on plan by Rs 33 and it’s now retailing at Rs 255.

Other benefits of the add-on pack continue to be the same, including high-speed data and a free one-year VIP subscription to Disney+ Hotstar. As was the case before, the plan only appears for those who are on an annual plan that doesn’t offer the Disney+ Hotstar VIP yearly membership. Let’s take a look at the details.

Jio’s Rs 222 add-on pack has been hiked to Rs 255

Users who are on a long-term plan without the Disney+ Hotstar benefit will be able to see the add-on pack on their MyJio app under the ‘Exclusive Limited Period Upgrade Offer’ section. However, instead of Rs 222, they will now have to pay Rs 255 to upgrade.

The Rs 255 Jio pack doesn’t have a validity of its own but is co-terminus with the existing plan of the user. This means that the validity of the user’s existing base plan will be the validity of the Jio add-on pack. Since this is an add-on pack, there are no calling or SMS benefits involved.

The Reliance Jio Rs 255 Disney+ Hotstar add-on pack offers 15GB of high-speed FUP data. Once the 15GB data is over, the Internet speed will be reduced to 64Kbps.
