Jio Rs 98 prepaid recharge plan has been re-launched by the telecom operator. Notably, the telecom operator had discontinued the plan last May in favour of long-term prepaid plans. The most affordable plan was also one of the most popular plans for the telecom operator.
The plan which offered daily data, unlimited calling and SMS benefits to its users is now back again as the cheapest plan for Mukesh Ambani-led telco. The re-launched Jio prepaid plan is now live on the MyJio app and the official website of the telecom operator in all circles.
Jio Rs 98 prepaid recharge plan benefits
The Rs 98 Jio prepaid recharge plan is now the most affordable prepaid plan from Jio across all telecom circled in the country. The telco has reduced the validity from 28 days to 14 days. The benefits include unlimited voice calling, 100 SMSes per day, and access to the Jio suite of apps.
However, Jio has reduced the daily data limit from 2GB to 1.5GB per day. After the daily data limit is exhausted, users can continue browsing at 64Kbps speeds. Apart from these, no other benefits are offered by the re-introduced plan.
Jio Phone COVID-19 offers
In related news, Jio has announced 300 free minutes of outgoing calls per month (10 minutes per day) to Jio Phone users and buy one get one offer on most prepaid plans. These offers are intended for lower-income group customers who are unable to recharge their Jio number amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
