JioFiber commercially launched: here’s everything you need to know

Reliance Jio has finally commenced the commercial operations of its high-speed JioFiber internet services. After testing the service in beta for several months, the company has now started offering it to users across 1,600 cities in India. The plans for the JioFiber service start at Rs 699 and go up to Rs 8,499. The base plan of the service offers a speed of 100Mbps, while the most expensive plan provides up to 1Gbps of high-speed internet.

The JioFiber service’s base Rs 699 Bronze pack offers 100Mbps speeds, 100GB of regular data and 50GB of extra data. The Rs 899 Silver plan provides the same speed, but a higher amount of data – 200GB regular + 200GB extra. The Gold JioFiber recharge costs Rs 1,299 and provides 250Mbps speed with 500GB of regular data and 250GB extra. The Rs 2,499 Diamond plan for the service provides 500Mbps speed, 1,250GB usual data, and 250GB extra. The most expensive packs cost Rs 3,999 and Rs 8,499, which deliver 2500GB and 5000GB unlimited data respectively, at a speed of 1Gbps. All these tariffs have a validity of 30 days, but users can opt them annually as well.

Apart from the high-speed internet, JioFiber service bundle has several other benefits. You can make voice calls to all networks across the country for free. There’s TV video calling benefit worth Rs 1,200 per year, zero-latency gaming feature worth Rs 1,200 per year, content sharing at home and outside, and Rs 999 per year worth of Norton security of up to five devices. Notably, the Diamond, Platinum, and Titanium plans also provides theatre-like personal experience on a VR headset and first day-first show movies, and other special sports-related content.

Notably, as part of the JioFiber welcome offer, the company is providing a Jio Home Gateway device, a Jio 4K set-top box, subscription to some OTT apps, and unlimited voice and data. Notably, those who opt for the Gold JioFiber recharge plan or higher will be getting a free 4K or HD television set. In addition, Jio will partner with banks to provide attractive EMI schemes, so buyers can get the benefits of annual packs by paying only monthly EMIs.

How to get JioFiber

You can visit or use the MyJio app on your smartphone to register for JioFiber services. If the service is available in your area, then the company’s representatives will contact you for the installation of the same. As for the users who were using the service in the trial offer, Jio will get in touch with you through the MyJio app to upgrade to the commercial plans.
