JioFiber set-top box will now have a dedicated app for JioNews. Users will be able to open the app on their TV to which the Jio set-top box is connected and browse top and trending news of the day. JioNews app offers content from more than 350 e-papers and 800+ magazines.

Users can also select their preferred language from over 12 options provided by the app. Additionally, the app offers personalised experience by today’s edition of papers in ‘Your Papers” section and a ‘Continue reading’ section where users can pick up from where they left off.

According to the company statement, “The addition of JioNews App on the set-top-box further enriches JioFiber’s content offering through its Set-Top-Box (STB) which already allows JioFiber subscribers to access several popular OTT apps across entertainment, health, music, sports, education, news, and other genres apart from access to Jio’s own apps like JioCinema, JioSaavn, JioTV+ and so on. With JioNews, the smart news aggregator app, Jio now offers an even more comprehensive user experience.”
