Indian smartphone brand Karbonn has launched the Karbonn Aura Note 2 running the latest Android Nougat operating system in India. It’s the successor to Aura Note 4G launched earlier this year. The Aura Note 2 carries a price tag of Rs 6,490 and comes in two colours options – Coffee-Champagne and Black-Champagne. Similar to what Intex offers with its phone, Karbonn has also introduced an app called Fashioneye. This app allows users to search for clothes, simply by uploading its image.
Specs-wise, the Karbonn Aura Note 2 puts on a 5.5-inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. There’s no mention of any kind of protective layer on the display. Under the hood, the phone is powered by an unknown quad-core processor ticking at 1.25GHz. Accompanying the processor, the phone gets 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage further expandable via MicroSD card up to 32GB. It’s a dual SIM phone and extends support to 4G connectivity. The device also supports OTG.
For shutterbugs, the Aura Note 2 sports a 13-megpixel rear camera with autofocus and a single LED flash. Up front, it flaunts a 5-megapixel snapper for clicking selfies. It draws its power from a 2900mAh Li-polymer battery which the company claims to offer up to 192 hours of standby time.
As far as connectivity is concerned, the Aura Note 2 houses all the standard features such as Wi-Fi 802.11, MicroUSB, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The phone measures 115 x 78 x 8 mm and weighs 164 grams. The smartphone is also compatible with VR glasses meaning it houses the required sensors for VR compatibility.
