The Indian smartphone maker Karbonn Mobiles has announced two new budget smartphones with 4G VoLTE capabilities. These phones are Karbonn Aura Sleek 4G and Karbonn Aura Note 4G. Both the handsets are priced under Rs 7,000 to target the offline audience looking for a budget 4G phone.
The Karbonn Aura Sleek 4G is the smaller one among these phones and sports a 5-inch FWGA display with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. There’s no mention of any kind of screen protection. Under the hood, it is powered by an unnamed 1.1Ghz quad-core chipset coupled with 1GB of RAM. The device gets 8GB of internal storage which is further expandable with a MicroSD card. On camera front, the device houses a 5-megapixel rear camera accompanied with a LED flash and a 2-megapixel front camera for capturing images. The phone runs on Android Marshmallow and packs in a 2,000mAh battery. It is a dual-SIM 4G-enabled phone and is priced at Rs 5,290. The device comes in three colors – champagne white, black, and grey.
The Karbonn Aura Note 4G, as its name suggest sports a bigger 5.5-inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Similar to its smaller sibling, this one also lacks a screen protection. It is powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, and we’re not sure whether it’s the same one which powers the Aura Sleek or not. It gets 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which is further expandable. The device packs in a 2,800mAh battery and runs on Android Marshmallow. It sports a 5-megapixel camera on both front and back side. The rear camera also gets a LED flash for capturing low-light shots. The device also flaunts a fingerprint scanner located on the back panel. This one is priced at Rs 6,890 and comes in Matt Black and Metallic Champagne color options.
