BSNL offers three plans under Rs 100 for prepaid subscribers. The state-run telecom operator already offers affordable recharge plans and strong network coverage across the country. This helps the telecom operator to retain its subscribers.
BSNL’s recharge plans are priced aggressively and much cheaper compared to other telecom operators like Reliance Jio, Vi, and Airtel. This attracts customers who plan on keeping a second SIM active.
BSNL low-cost plans to keep SIM active
A major part of India’s population cannot afford to do expensive recharges from other telecom operators including Jio, Vi, and Airtel. Additionally, network coverage from these operators is not easily available in most rural parts of the country. This is where BSNL comes into place as it offers three affordable recharge plans under Rs 100. The plans are also attractive for users who use BSNL as their secondary SIM card. Notably, for users without access to an internet connection and calls with their primary SIM card, can easily switch to a secondary SIM card i.e. BSNL.
The base plan which is also the cheapest from BSNL costs Rs 87 and is valid for 14 days. It offers 1GB daily data, unlimited voice calling, and 100 SMS per day benefits. The internet speed reduces to 40kbps. The second plan from the telecom operator is Rs 97 data voucher. It is valid for 18 days and offers benefits like 2GB data per day, unlimited voice calling, and free Lokdhun content but no SMS facility.
The last recharge plan from BSNL is Rs 99 with a service validity of 18 days as well. The only benefit of this plan is an unlimited voice calling with a personalised ring-back tone facility.
