The Indian Gujarati language film Last Film Show streaming rights have been bagged by the streaming giant Netflix. The streaming giant has taken to its social media to make the official announcement. The Last Film show will be available in Hindi and Gujrati on Netflix starting November 25th 2022.

For people who missed watching the movie earlier can catch it now. It is also offering a Hindi dub version so that it can have a wider reach.

A heart-touching tribute to cinema through the fascinated eyes of the nine-year-old Samay, the film is heartfelt. The Last Film Show is a semi-autobiographical movie. The film shooting locations are the villages and railway stations in Saurashtra. It was shot in March 2020, just before the Lockdown began.

The cast of the movie mostly comprises of child actors. Bhavin Rabari essays the role of Samay. Bhavesh Shrimali, Richa Meena, Dipen Raval, Paresh Mehta, Vikas Bata, Rahul Koli, Shoban Makwa, Kishan Parmar, Vijay Mer, Alpesh Tank, Tia Sebastien, and Jasmin Joshi also star in the movie. Pan Nalin, Dheer Momaya, Siddharth Roy Kapur, and Marc Duale are the producers of the film, and it is bankrolled by Chhello Show LLP, Monsoon Films, and Jugaad Motion Pictures. Pan Nalin is also the director and writer of the movie.

It is an ode to cinema and movies through the eyes of a nine-year-old. Samay is fascinated by cinema. He even skips school to watch films. When he is told that it is all over and that it is the last film show at the projection booth of a rundown movie place, Samay decides he wants to study light. Because light becomes stories, and stories go on to become films. The game of the movie is all about telling stories, and the future belongs to storytellers like Samay. Samay also faces heartbreaking times in his quest to be a storyteller and a filmmaker.

Those who have watched the Last Film Show (Chhello Show) already have praised it, and some have even called it a gem. The movie received a thumbs-up during its theatrical run. Rotten Tomatoes‘ Tomatometer shows 94% positive reviews, with 16 reviews in all. The movie received 4 out of 5 stars from Saibal Chatterjee of NDTV, Shwetha Keshri of India Today, praising the movie’s performances and cinematography also, gave it 4 out of 5 stars. Nandini Oza of The Week also rated the film 4 out of 5, praising the way human relations have been captured in the film. Bhuvanesh Chandar of The Hindu praised the film for its story, cinematography, theme, direction, and performances. E Times gave it four out of 5 stars.  Earlier this weekend, the movie won big at the Asian World Film Festival (AWFF) in Los Angeles. It was the winner in the best film category. Producer Dheer Momaya and director Pan Nalin were awarded the Snow Leopard trophy at the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills.
