Lava A7 feature phone with rugged body launched for Rs 1,559

Today, Lava has introduced a new entry-level feature phone called the Lava A7.  The smartphone is packed with modest specs and comes with a toughened body. It has arrived in the market with a very affordable price tag of Rs 1,599.

The chassis of the Lava A7 is made from polycarbonate material which is also used for making helmets, claims the company. The compact device is fitted with a 2.4-inch display. There is no information available on the chipset and the amount of RAM present inside the Lava A7.

The handset is packed with a 1,750mAh battery that promises a battery backup of 6 days. There is a Super Battery mode for extending its battery performance. Since the phone is designed for India, it supports typing in 5 languages such as English, Hindi, Tamil, Telegu and Kannada. There is a dedicated option to change the icons/apps on the menu screen in their native language.

There are some handy features on the Lava A7 such as wireless FM, automatic call recoding, a torch that can be accessed without unlocking and an LED flash for notifications on incoming calls. Also, the phone can produce stereo sound output.

The Lava A7 costs only Rs 1,599 and it comes in two colours such as Blue-Silver and Ivory White. Lava is providing the customers of the Lava A7 a special offer of 1-year replacement guarantee. Also, the company is offering six months replacement offer on accessories.
