As a part of the upcoming 74th Independence Day, home-grown brand Lava has announced three phones in its ‘ProudlyIndian’ range. The lineup consists of the Lava A5 and Lava A9 feature phones, and the Lava Z61 Pro smartphone. To recall, the A5 had debuted earlier this year while the Z61 Pro was launched last month. The Lava A9 is the brand’s new offering.
The feature phone comes with a tri-colour inspired back panel while the Z61 Pro smartphone is offered in Champagne Gold colour with a #ProudlyIndian embossed at the bottom of the cover. Let’s take a look at the latest Lava A9 below.

The Lava A9 feature phone offers a 2.8-inch QVGA display. It has a dedicated torch button on the keypad. The phone comes with military-grade certification. The Lava A9 features a 1.3MP camera along with flash with support for video recording and zoom function. The device comes with multimedia features like music player, video player, FM player and wireless FM recording. Additional features include contact photo icons, call recording facility, super battery mode, call blink notification, smart search, calculator and calendar.
The Lava A9 allows for storage expansion up to 32GB. It is powered by a 1,700mAh battery unit that is claimed to last up to 6 days on a single charge. The feature phone supports incoming texts in 22 languages and enabling users to type in 7 languages including English, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Punjabi, Gujarati. Connectivity options on the Lava A9 include dual-SIM, built-in Bluetooth, 3.5mm jack and micro-USB port.

The Lava A9 feature phone carries a price tag of Rs 1,574. The device will soon be available for purchase across Flipkart and offline retail stores.
