The tablet market has been in a bad phase for quite some time now. Ever since affordable smartphones emerged with better specs and bigger displays, the tablet trend seems to be fading away. There was a time when people used to buy tablets in considerable numbers. Their requirements ranged from watching movies or playing games to reading e-books on a bigger screen. Slowly, people shifted to mobile gaming and phones with display sizes ranging from 5-inch to 5.5-inch. Additionally, people considering tablets for reading had an option in the form of Amazon Kindle which offered much better battery life. Combining all these trends led to a drastic downfall of the tablet industry. Despite this, there is one Indian company which has managed to surprise us with its latest tablet launch. We are talking about Lava and its latest Ivory Pop tablet. Let’s take a look at what this has to offer!
The Lava Ivory Pop sports a 7-inch display (1024 x 600 pixels) which is ideal for tablet devices. What powers this giant is an Intel’s quad-core processor clocked at 1GHz. The company has not revealed the exact chipset powering this tablet. Other than that, there is 1GB of RAM inside which handles multitasking. Talking of storage, it features a limited 16GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. Under the hood, it houses a 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash. For selfie lovers, there is a 3.2-megapixel front shooter. This tablet is based on an outdated Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. At last, it packs in a 3000mAh battery.
This is a Dual-SIM tablet with voice calling ability. Furthermore, different connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. The Lava Ivory Pop comes in black colour and costs Rs 6,299. The tablet is available at all major retail and e-commerce websites in India.
