Lava Z1 Z2, Z4, Z6 and myZ customisable smartphones launched in India: price, specifications

Lava Mobiles unveiled five smartphones in India today, the Lava Z1, Lava Z2, Lava Z4, Lava Z6, and myZ. At the event, the company also announced myZ as the world’s first customisable smartphone, which allows customers to choose from the desired RAM, ROM, and colour before making a purchase. Apart from these phones, the company also took off covers from its Lava Befit fitness tracker.

The new Z-series phones from the brand featuregaming-focused chipsets, massive batteries, and up to 13-megapixel triple rear cameras. These phones are priced between Rs 5,499 and Rs 9,999.

Lava Z1 specifications and features

Lava Z1

The Lava Z1 entry-level phone is priced at Rs 5,499

The Lava Z1 comes with a 5-inch display with thick bezels around it. The HD resolution supporting screen is shielded by Gorilla Glass 3. The phone is driven by the modest Helio A20 chipset by MediaTek and 2GB of RAM. It comes with an internal storage of 16GB.

The Lava Z1 has a front camera of 5-megapixel and its rear is fitted with a 5-megapixel smart AI camera. The handset is packed with a 3,100mAh battery. With 5-magnet speaker system onboard, the Lava Z1 produces a loud sound output.

Lava Z2 specifications and features

The Lava Z2 has a 6.5-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a waterdrop notch. It offers a tall aspect ratio of 20:9 and comes with a 2.5D curved glass on top of it. The Helio P35 chipset is present under the hood of the device. The SoC is coupled with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.

The rear side of the phone features an AI-driven dual camera system that includes a 13-megapixel main camera, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and an LED flash. For selfies, it has a front camera of 8-megapixel. The phone draws power from a 5,000mAh battery.

Lava Z4 and Lava Z6 specifications and features

The Lava Z2, Z4, and Z6 are priced between Rs 6,999 and Rs 9,999

The company claims that the Lava Z4 has a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a waterdrop notch. The 20:9 screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 layer. The Helio G35 chipset and 4GB of RAM powers the Lava Z4. It comes with a native storage of 64 GB.

The back panel of the Lava Z4 features a fingerprint scanner and an AI triple camera system that includes a 13-megapixel main camera, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The Lava Z4’s cameras are coupled with features like LED flash and AI scene detection. The company claims that the Lava Z4 is the only phone in its segment to offer a 16-megapixel selfie camera. It is also backed by a 5,000mAh battery.

The specifications of the Lava Z6 are identical to the Lava Z4 phone. The only major difference is that it comes with 6GB of RAM.

Th Lava myZ is the world’s first customisable smartphone

The myZ phone comes with standard specs like a 6.5-inch IPS LCD HD+ display, an Helio G35 chipset, and a 5,000mAh battery. When it comes to customisation, the 4GB RAM variant of the phone will allow users to choose from ROM options like 32GB, 64GB and 128GB, dual or triple rear camera options like 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel or triple 13-megapixel + 5-megapixel +2-megapixel, front camera options like 8-megapixel or 16-megapixel, and color variants like Red or Blue.

Such customisations will be also available for 2GB, 3GB, and 6GB RAM for myZ buyers. The company claims that users can customise the myZ in as many as 66 unique ways. This allows customers to pay for a phone that includes the features they need.

All the above-mentioned Lava phones come with bloatware-free stock version of Android 10 OS and military-grade certified chassis.

Lava Z-up upgrade program

The Lava Zup is the all-new hardware upgrade for Z-series smartphones

The Z-up upgrade program lets existing Lava phone users to upgrade features like RAM and ROM by paying a small incremental charge. This service is only available for the new Z-series phones like Z2, Z4, Z6, and myZ.

Lava Z1, Z2, Z4, and Z6 price and availability

The Lava Z1 is priced at Rs 5,499 and it will be available for purchase through Amazon India, Lava Mobiles’ online store, and offline platforms from January 26th. The myZ phone will be also available on the same date.

The Lava Z2, Z4, and Z6 are priced at Rs 6,999, Rs 8,999, and Rs 9,999, respectively. The sales of the Z2, Z4, and Z6 will begin from January 11th through Amazon India, Lava Mobiles’ online store, and offline channels. The myZ smartphone will be only available through Lava Mobiles web store only.
