The Lava Z2 Max has launched in India. The smartphone is designed to meet children’s e-learning needs during the pandemic. The Z2 Max offers students a large display and long-lasting battery life.

The company claims that the Lava Z2 Max’s Android OS is free from ads and bloatware. The smartphone is priced affordable with a sub-Rs 8,000 price tag.

The Lava Z2 Max has a 7-inch IPS LCD panel, which is overlaid with a 2.5D curved glass. The display offers HD+ resolution of 720 x 1,640 pixels, a 20.5:9 aspect ratio, and 258ppi pixel density.

An unspecified MediaTek Helio chipset is present under the hood of the Lava Z2 Max along with 2GB of RAM. It offers an internal storage of 32GB and a storage slot that supports up to 256GB of microSD card.

The Z2 Max comes preinstalled with Go edition of Android 10 OS and it draws power from a 6,000mAh battery. The device offers 40 hours of talk time on 4G and 9+ hours of video playback on YouTube. However, but it lacks support for fast charging.

The Z2 Max has an 8MP selfie camera. The squarish camera module placed on the rear shell of the device has a 13-megapixel main camera, a 2-megapixel depth sensor and an LED flash. The Z2 Max supports photography features like beauty mode, HDR mode, night mode, and bokeh mode. The device is packed with the usual connectivity features like dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, a USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm audio jack. It lacks a fingerprint scanner.

The Lava Z2 Max is priced at Rs 7,799 and it’s available for purchase through Lava’s e-store, Amazon India, Flipkart, and offline stores across India. It comes in two colours such as Storked Blue and Storked Cyan.
