Lava has launched a new Android Go smartphone in the Indian market. The Lava Z40 is an entry-level smartphone with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. The phone has a single rear camera setup and an optimised set of Android apps.
Lava Z40: features and specifications
The Lava Z40 has been launched with a 4-inch display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The phone relies on a 1.4GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The latter can be expanded via a microSD card by up to 64GB. The phone is an Android Go offering with special apps like YouTube Go, Gmail Go, Maps Go and more. Android Go smartphones have 1GB of RAM or less and come with an affordable price tag.
Camera-wise, the phone has a 2MP rear camera setup with flash and a 2MP selfie snapper with flash as well. It also has support for 4G VoLTE and a 2,250mAh battery. The Lava Z40 carries a K7 external audio PA speaker for an immersive audio experience. Its smart search feature supports ten languages including Hindi. The device runs Android 8.1 Oreo (Go) and comes in two shades – Black and Gold.
