Domestic handset manufacturer Lava has announced a new budget smartphone under its Z series. The new device is called Z92. It is available to purchase from offline stores at a price tag of Rs 9,999. The company has tied up with Jio to offer a cashback of Rs 2,200 and 50GB 4G data. Let’s find out what this device offers out of the box:

On the display front, the Z92 sports a large 6.22-inch screen bearing an HD+ resolution and a notch on the top. For protection against accidental damage, the device is coated with tough and scratch resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The Lava Z92 ships in an Ocean Blue-Black Gradient.
In the optics department, the Z92 comes with a single 13MP rear camera. It features an AI Studio Mode which offers six different camera modes for enhancing the picture. There is also a Bokeh feature for blurring the background. The camera is accompanied by Dual LED flash for clicking better images in low light. The device is fitted with an 8MP camera on the front for clicking selfies.
Performance-wise, the Lava Z92 is powered by a 2GHz MediaTek octa-core Helio P22 chipset. The processor is paired with 3GB RAM. In terms of storage, the device offers 32GB internal memory which is expandable up to 256GB. The Lava Z92 features a Smart AI gaming mode which the company claims lets the users to play games without any lag, or interruption from incoming calls or messages. On the software front, the device runs Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. The Z92 runs on a 3,260 mAh battery unit capable of lasting up to 1.5 days on a single charge.
