Leaks of upcoming smartphones are pretty common nowadays but a colour variant of an existing model leaking out isn’t. Fresh leaks point out that Samsung is working on an all black variant of the Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 Edge. The color was first introduced on the ill-fated Samsung Galaxy Note 7 along with the new Coral Blue shade. Apple also introduced its new iPhones in the black shade making the colour highly sought after which could be the reason behind this move from Samsung.
With the whole Note 7 debacle behind, Samsung is hard at work to improve the image of its existing Galaxy S7/ S7 Edge models. The Korean smartphone maker had introduced the Blue Coral colour option to the S7 Edge and might be exclusive to South Korea for some time. These images of the Black Galaxy phones were posted by a Samsung official on Weibo. With that, we very much believe that these phones exist and should make their way to the market soon.
Samsung has already updated the Galaxy S7/ S7 Edge with features that were launched with the Galaxy Note 7 like the “Always On” display. This feature displays the time, notifications or photographs when the phone is idle. While the Note 7 never made it to India, the Galaxy S7/S7 Edge are the best sellers for Samsung. The new colour addition looks good on the phones and will help it compete against the iPhone 7. While there is no confirmation from Samsung India about the colour update, we are hoping it makes its way to our shores soon.
