Chinese cell phone maker Coolpad is gearing up to launch its upcoming flagship smartphone in India next week. Coolpad has an event scheduled for December 28th where it will unveil its new device. The company’s social media teasers contain the hashtag #CLifeAgain, hinting the arrival of first Coolpad and LeEco co-developed smartphone — Cool1 Dual. To recall, the phone was first unveiled in China in August.
In terms of specifications, the Cool1 Dual flaunts a 5.5-inch display with a 1920 x 1080 pixels Full HD resolution. It is powered by an eight-core Qualcomm MSM8976 Snapdragon 652 processor clocked at 1.8GHz. The Cool1 Dual comes in two memory variants — 3GB RAM + 32GB storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. The internal memory, however, isn’t expandable.
The Cool1 Dual houses a Dual 13MP rear camera with f/2.0, phase detection autofocus, and dual-LED flash. The camera can record up to 2160p videos at 30 frames per second (FPS). Up front, there is an 8MP selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture. It also carries a fingerprint scanner n the back, right below the rear camera module.
The Cool1 Dual is a dual-SIM phone with two Nano SIM slots. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with company’s own EUI 5.6 on top. The phone packs in a massive 4060mAh battery which is non-removable. It’s supported by the connectivity options like 4G LTE, WI-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5m audio jack, and USB Type-C.
