German camera manufacturer Leica has expanded its presence in India with its latest full-frame camera, the M10-P. The latest camera is the upgraded variant of the M10. The USP of the M10-P is its quiet shutter release and touchscreen. Let’s take a look at the technical specifications of the device:
Design & Display:
The Leica M10-P is a compact rangefinder with minimalistic design and analogue look. It has a ISO and shutter speed dials, and customisable buttons to adjust the settings. Leica has skipped the iconic red dot logo on the front for engraved Leica lettering on the top plate. The M10-P features a 3-inch LCD monitor. It is the first in M-series to offer a touchscreen. Additionally, there are three buttons on the rear for controlling the camera. The camera sports a robust build with a magnesium body that ensures durability. Leica’s latest M10-P borrows most of the specifications from the M10 released in January 2017. The processor is accompanied by 2GB buffer memory that makes continuous shooting possible up to 5fps. The ISO range on this camera is 100 – 50,000, for better pictures in low light. Leica claims that the M10 P offers the quietest shutter release of any M-series camera. The camera offers a shutter speed between 125 to 1/4000 seconds.
The M10-P supports Leica’s M and R lens system with an optional adapter. It has an eye-level optical viewfinder for composing the image. The M10-P offers shooting pictures in DNG (RAW) and JPEG format. As for storage, it supports SD cards up to 2GB, SDHC cards up to 32GB, and SDXC cards up to 2TB. The Leica M10-P is powered by a Lithium-ion rechargeable battery. It offers built-in Wi-Fi for sharing images to smartphone and also works as a shutter release via the Leica M app.
