Lenovo to reportedly launch 5G laptops with 24-hour battery backup by December

Lenovo has launched a series of new products which have contributed to its IdeaPad and Yoga series. Now, the company’s future plans have come to light as well. According to a report by 91mobiles, Lenovo is planning to launch an array of new laptops with 5G capability. These devices would land in the market by December 2019. However, the same timeline can’t be expected for India as we don’t have the required cellular spectrum for a 5G network.

The source also mentioned that the Chinese brand is working with Intel and Qualcomm. The reason behind this is to launch ultraportable laptops with all-day battery capacity. Recently, Intel also announced a special Project Athena under which it will work to make Windows-based devices faster with better battery life and SSDs. Similarly, Qualcomm has also introduced Snapdragon 835 and 850 processors for PCs so that they are always-connected.

In addition to all this, consumers can also expect these laptops to feature powerful hardware. Lenovo is also expected to launch the Legion Y540 and Legion Y740 gaming laptops in August 2019.

The company has just launched the premium Yoga S940, ultra-slim IdeaPad S145, S340, S540, and AIO desktop PCs in the Indian market. While the Yoga S940 is the world’s first laptop to feature Contour glass edges, the IdeaPad series has been refreshed with Dolby Atmos speakers and improved battery life. The AIO PC A940 sports a Dolby Vision display, touchscreen functionality and digital pen. For more information about these latest offerings by Lenovo, read Pricebaba’s report here.
