Chinese consumer technology brand Lenovo has finally launched a new smartphone dubbed as Lenovo K8 Note. The company has recently announced that it will ditch its Vibe UI and will use stock UI for its upcoming smartphones. The Lenovo K8 Note is the first Lenovo smartphone to come with stock UI. Surprisingly, the company has decided to skip the K7 series and has directly jumped to K8 Note. The K8 Note will be available for purchase starting 18th August exclusively on Amazon with a starting price of Rs 12,999.
Specs-wise, the Lenovo K8 Note puts on a 5.5-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Additionally, the display also gets Corning Gorilla Glass and oleophobic protection on top. Under the hood, the device is powered by Helio X23 chipset comprising two clusters of four A53 cores and a cluster of two Cortex A72 cores. It is probably the first phone to be powered by Helio X23 processor. The phone comes in two variants – one with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, another one with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.
The 3GB variant carries a price tag of Rs 12,999, whereas the 4GB model is available for purchase at Rs 13,999. For further expansion of storage, the phone also houses a dedicated MicroSD card slot. Keeping up the Lenovo smartphone signature, the K8 Note also features stereo speakers backed with Dolby Atmos technology. Additionally, the phone also gets a dedicated Music Key to control the music payback. Users can also customize it to work as a shortcut key for torch, specific app, or as a camera shutter key.
The Lenovo K8 Note also features a dual rear camera setup. It sports a dual rear camera setup comprising 13MP megapixels sensor along with an additional 5MP sensor. The cameras are accompanied by a single-LED flash and are able to take photographs with Bokeh Effect. Up front, it sports a 13MP snapper which is also accompanied by a front flash. The phone also houses a fingerprint scanner and is splash resistant. It runs the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat and comes in two colour options – Venom Black and Fine Gold. Powering all, the phone packs in a 4000mAh battery coupled with Turbo Charging. The company has packed in a 15W Turbo Charger inside the box claimed to charge the phone quickly.
