Pricebaba then spotted high-resolution coloured renders of the upcoming smartphone on China’s patent website CNIPA.
XDA Developers has now obtained multiple unreleased teaser videos showcasing the likely design of the upcoming gaming phone and it looks different from the renders we spotted earlier. Apart from that, the publication has also revealed some key specifications of the phone. Here’s everything the latest leak revealed about the upcoming phone.
Lenovo Legion gaming phone design
We already know a few things about the Legion gaming phone, including a Snapdragon 865 SoC, disruptive cooling mechanism, and 90W fast charging, all of which have been confirmed by the brand via its Weibo page. Staying true to the gaming DNA, Legion is designing the smartphone to be held horizontally. This is evident from the placement of the pop-up selfie camera, which is located on the side with a LED flash module right above the sensor.
The unusual placement of cameras continues on the rear panel as well, where the dual camera setup is placed nearly in the middle of the panel with a dual-tone LED flash right above the Legion star logo. The star logo will feature RGB lighting for gamer aesthetics. Place right above the LED flash is what looks like the elevating module with the Legion logo on it. We can also see the Legion’s gaming slogan, ‘Stylish outside, Savage Inside‘ on the rear panel, which itself appears to be a smooth metal with a 3D texture or polycarbonate.
Othe design elements include a side-mounted USB Type-C port, SIM card tray alongside the primary USB-C charging port on the bottom, and a noise-cancelling mic on the top. There’s no 3.5mm audio jack on the smartphone, which is a massive omission for a gaming phone. Further, the source reveals that the 90W fast charging technology will work only through the Type-C port on the bottom, and can charge the phone to 100 percent in just 30 minutes.
