Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2 has launched in China today. It arrives as the successor to last year’s Legion Phone Duel. The Legion Phone Duel 2 is the second gaming-centric device from the Chinese brand.

The latest offering comes with upgrades over its predecessor. The gaming smartphone features a new unique back panel design that houses cameras, a fan and a Legion logo with RGB lighting. The device is packed with powerful specifications. Read on to know what the Legion Phone Duel 2 has in store for us.

The Legion Phone Duel 2 sports a 6.92-inch full-screen AMOLED display bearing a resolution of 2,460 x 1,080 pixels. It features a 144Hz refresh rate screen with HDR10+ support, DC Dimming, 1,300 nits peak brightness and an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The device is shielded by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Design-wise, on the back panel, the Legion Phone Duel 2 has a protruding camera at the centre that also houses an RGB Legion logo and a fan hole. The smartphone retains the pop-up front camera module that elevates from the right side. The gaming device is equipped with dual front-facing speakers and Dolby Atmos. It also comes with four microphones with noise reduction technology. 

Under the hood, the Legion Phone Duel 2 is powered by a Snapdragon 888 processor. It packs up to 18GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 onboard storage. The device is equipped with two cooling fans along with vents. There is also a vapour chamber and thermal cooling for heat dissipation. The Legion Phone Duel 2 is backed by dual 2,750mAh batteries (total 5,500mAh) with support for up to 90W Turbo Charging. 

In the photography department, the Legion Phone Duel 2 sports dual rear cameras of 64MP OmniVision main sensor paired with 16MP ultra-wide lens. The motorised camera module houses a 44MP selfie snapper. 

The Legion Phone Duel 2 features four shoulder buttons and ultrasonic sensors on the side of the phone, and two capacitive touchpoints on the back. The gaming phone comes with two USB-C ports, one at the side and another at the bottom. Connectivity options on the device include 5G, sub-6GHz, dual SIM, dual GPS, GLONASS, WiFi and Bluetooth. 

Legion Phone Duel 2 pricing and availability

The Legion Phone Duel 2 starts at €799 (~Rs 70,750) for the base 12GB + 256GB variant. The 16GB + 512GB costs €999 (~Rs 88,500) and it also comes with a charging dock. The price of the top-end model is not disclosed yet. The Legion Phone Duel 2 is offered in Titanium White and Ultimate Black colours. It will hit the stores in China later this month and is expected to be available in Europe from May.
