Lenovo Legion Y740 and Y540 gaming laptops launched in India: price specifications

Lenovo has announced the Legion Y740 and Y540 gaming laptops in India. These devices are packed with premium specs including an edgeless display, 9th Gen Intel Core mobile processors and powerful Nvidia GeForce RTX graphics to deliver desktop-like performance on the go.

Lenovo Y740 and Y540 Pricing

The Legion Y740 carries a starting price of Rs. 1,29,990, whereas the Legion Y540 starts at Rs. 69,990. The newly announced Legion laptops can be bought through Lenovo’s official website, leading online retailers and Lenovo offline stores. Buyers of the Legion Y740 and Y540 will be provided with a one-year onsite warranty service from the company.

The Lenovo Legion Y740 measures 36.1 x 26.5 x 2.38cm and weighs 2.2kg. It comes in a Raven Black colour and sports a metal anodized body. It features a 15.6-inch IPS full HD display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 500nits brightness and an anti-glare coating. An optional Dolby Vision display is also available.

The Windows 10 Home-powered device is fueled by a 4.5GHz 9th Gen Intel Core i7-9750 processor and 16GB of DDR4 RAM, upgradable to 32GB. The processor is coupled with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q GPU. It is equipped with a 3-cell 57WH battery that can last for up to 5 hours. The notebook offers 1TB of M.2 SSD storage. It has an HD camera that is coupled with an array microphone. For a superior gaming experience, it comes with a 2x2W Dolby Atmos system speaker with Dolby Sound Radar.

When it comes to connectivity, the Legion Y740 is equipped with Killer 2×2 AC, Bluetooth, one USB 3.1 Gen2 port, two USB 3.2 Gen1 ports, HDMI, RJ45, miniDP, and a USB Type-C port. The device comes with RGB backlit keyboard, and lacks an optical drive.

The polycarbonate-bodied Legion Y540’s dimensions are 36 x 26.7 x 2.42cm and it weighs 2.3kg. It comes with up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 6G GDDR6 graphics and 300 nits of brightness. The laptop features a plastic chassis, and comes in a single Raven Black colour.

The Y540 has a few features in common with the Y740, including a 15.6-inch full HD display, 9th-gen Core i7-9750H processor, 16GB RAM, 1TB storage, 57WH battery, HD camera and connectivity options. The Legion Y450 has 2x2W Harman speakers with Dolby Atmos support and a white LED backlit keyboard. There is no optical disk drive on the device.

The other common features of the Lenovo Y740 and Y540 include Dolby Vision HDR support, Lenovo Vantage for finetuning the gaming experience, Coldfront dual-channel thermal system, Office Home & Student 2019 and McAfee Live Safe support for 1 year.

Apart from launching the Legion Y740 and Y540 laptops in India, Lenovo also showcased its entire gaming range which includes the T730 and T530 desktops, M500 RGB gaming mouse, K500 RGB mechanical keyboard, and H500 and H300 stereo gaming headsets.
