Lenovo P2 With 5100mAh Battery Launched In India For Rs 16,999

Lenovo today launched a new phone dubbed Lenovo P2 in the Indian market, as it had promised. To recall, Lenovo P2 was unveiled initially during last year’s IFA industrial exhibition in Berlin. The biggest attraction is a massive 5100mAh capacity battery with Quick Charge 3.0, something the company claims to last up to 3 days.

Lenovo P2 flaunts a full-metal unibody design with rounded corners and curved back. The phone comes in graphite gray and champagne colour options. It comes with a bigger 5.5-inch AMOLED Full HD screen. We had enough of externals, let’s now have a deep dive into phone’s internals. Under the hood is a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor clocked at 2GHz. The phone comes in two variants — 3GB and 4GB RAM. The internal storage of 32GB remains same for both the variants.

The Dual-SIM (Nano + Nano) Lenovo P2 sports a fingerprint scanner up front, which also acts as the home button. It runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. In terms of optics, it houses a 13MP PDAF rear camera with a Sony sensor and LED flash. It can record Full HD (1080p) videos at 30 frames per second (FPS). It also features a 5MP secondary, front-facing camera for capturing selfies.

That aside, Lenovo P2 comes with 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, FM, and microUSB port in addition to USB OTG support. Furthermore, it has all the standard set of sensors such an accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass. Lenovo P2 is priced at Rs 16,999 for 3GB RAM + 32GB storage and Rs 17,999 for 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. The device will be available to purchase exclusively from Flipkart starting midnight of January 11.
