Lenovo has at last expanded its second-gen phablet series in India by unveiling the Phab 2. This was expected since there were multiple reports last week that Lenovo is gearing up to launch the Phab 2 in India soon.
The Lenovo Phab 2 comes with a gigantic 6.4-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD screen featuring the pixel density of 229 Pixels Per Inch (PPI). Under the hood, overall processing is handled by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT8735 processor which comes paired with Mali-T720 GPU for graphics.
The device further incorporates 3GB of RAM for multitasking and 32GB of internal memory which supports further storage expansion up to 128GB via memory card. This is a Dual-SIM phablet which runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with Vibe UI on top. It packs in a 4050mAh built-in battery.
For photography, the Lenovo Phab 2 houses a 13-megapixel rear snapper with LED flash and Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF). It also embraces features such as geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama. There is also a 5-megapixel secondary camera for selfies.
The Lenovo Phab 2 supports Dolby Atmos audio enhancement along with Dolby Audio Capture 5.1. It also features active noise cancellation with dedicated mic. It comes with a standard set of connectivity options such as 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, FM radio, and microUSB 2.0.
The Lenovo Phab 2 comes at a price of Rs 11,999 and will be available exclusively on Flipkart in Gunmetal Grey and Champagne Gold colors starting December 9th.
Previously, Lenovo had come up with its mid-range Phab 2 Plus in India for Rs 14,999.
