Lenovo is apparently gearing up to unveil the Lenovo Phab 2 in India, which is among its second-generation phablet series. There are numerous reports stating Lenovo’s plan of releasing the device exclusively on Flipkart sometime next week. Earlier, the company had introduced its mid-range Phab 2 Plus in India for Rs 14,999.
The Lenovo Phab 2 flaunts a metal unibody design and sports a 6.4-inch IPS screen featuring 1280 x 720 pixels HD resolution. Powering this phablet is a MediaTek MT8735 quad-core processor paired with 3GB RAM for handling multitasking. It has 32GB onboard memory which supports further storage expansion up to 128GB via MicroSD card support.
One gets a 13-megapixel primary camera on the back with LED flash and Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF). If you are selfie lover, you will be delighted to find a 5-megapixel secondary camera on the front. The camera comes with a support for an Augmented Reality (AR) mode which enables different effects and virtual objects to be embedded in photos and videos.
The camera interface also supports different modes and features such as geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, and panorama. The Lenovo Phab 2 is a Dual-SIM device which runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. It packs in a 4050mAh battery which Lenovo claims to deliver standby up to 14 days and talk-time up to 32 hours.
The device also comes with a standard set of connectivity options such as 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, FM radio, and microUSB 2.0.
The Lenovo Phab 2 Plus, on the other side, flaunts a 6.4-inch Full HD IPS screen along with a 2.5D Curved Glass on top. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT8783 processor paired with 3GB of RAM and Mali-T720 GPU for graphics. Under the hood, there is 32GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD.
The Lenovo Phab 2 Plus features a 13-megapixel dual rear snapper mated with a Dual-LED flash, PDAF (Phase Detection Autofocus), and f/2.0 aperture. There is also an 8-megapixel secondary camera on the front for selfies. It packs in a 4050mAh non-removable battery.
The Lenovo Phab 2 Plus comes with two SIM slots and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. It has a fingerprint scanner on the back which sits right below the camera module. This device is also compatible with all the standard set of sensors such i.e. gyro, accelerometer, proximity, and compass.
