Yesterday, we talked about how screen sizes are playing a major role when it comes to choosing smartphones over tablets. We also explained how people are slowly shifting to devices with bigger screens, including phablets. These days, many smartphone companies seem to be leaving behind standard 5-inch or 5.5-inch screens for their phones and are choosing even bigger screens. Joining in Lenovo, the company which is all set to launch its Phab 2 Plus phablet in India next week. Lenovo has reportedly been rolling out press invites for the event which is scheduled for November 8th. To recall, the Lenovo Phab 2 Plus was announced globally in June this year.
In terms of specs, the Lenovo Phab 2 Plus comes with a massive 6.4-inch IPS LCD screen with 1920 x 1080 pixels Full HD resolution and 344 PPI pixel density. Powering this phablet is an octa-core (eight cores) MediaTek MT8783 processor which clocks up to 1.3GHz. Furthermore, it features 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The storage capacity is expandable up to 256GB via hybrid SIM card slot. It is a Dual-SIM phablet with one micro SIM and one nano-SIM card slot. It is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.
Talking about camera offerings, the Lenovo Phab 2 Plus houses a 13-megapixel dual camera on the back. The camera is accompanied by f/2.0 aperture, Dual-LED flash, and PDAF (Phase Detection Autofocus). For selfie lovers, it also delivers an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture. Under the hood, it packs in a 4050 mAh battery and offers 4G LTE, Wi-FI, Bluetooth, GPS, FM radio, and microUSB connectivity options. It also has a fingerprint scanner on the back which sits right below the camera module.
The Lenovo Phab 2 Plus phablet will go on sale exclusively on Amazon India.
