Last September, Lenovo had launched the Smart Tab M8 tablet. At the ongoing Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2020, the Chinese firm has unveiled a larger edition of the device, dubbed as the Smart Tab M10. The official name of the product is Smart Tab M10 FHD Plus 2nd Gen with Google Assistant. Apart from using it like a normal tablet, you can dock it into the bundled Smart Charging Station to use it like a smart speaker with a display. Apart from the Smart Tab M10, the company has also unveiled Smart Frame, which is a smart digitial photo frame with a massive 21.5-inch display.
Lenovo Smart Tab M10 specifications and features
The Smart Tab M10 features a 10.3-inch display with full HD resolution. The MediaTek Helio P22T processor powers the device, along with 4GB of RAM. It has a native storage of 128GB and is packed with a 5,000mAh battery. It also features two Dolby Atmos-powered side speakers.
As mentioned above, the Smart Tab M10 can be used as a smart display. You can do this by docking it in the Smart Charging Station which is bundled in the retail box. Once this is done, you can activate Ambient Mode to use it hands-free via Google Assistant. The tablet is equipped with dual microphones and a dedicated signalling chip that can recognise and process the voice of the user across the room. As a smart display, you can watch videos, check connected smart security camera feeds, control smart home devices and more. When not in use, the screen functions as a digital photo frame. Since it is being marketed as a multi-user family device, it supports multiple user accounts with individual face unlock, and also offers a Kids Mode.
Lenovo Smart Frame specifications and features
The Lenovo Smart Frame sports a large 21.5-inch full HD display with a matte-finish and anti-glare layer, allowing it to be viewed at different angles and various brightness levels. It features a colour tone sensor that can automatically adjust the screen brightness on the basis of the ambient light in a room. The frame can also recognise various hand gestures which allow you to play, continue or pause the photo slideshow.
The Smart Frame relies on AI to curate images and display the highest quality images. It can automatically arrange photos in collages to show the maximum number of photos at once. Users can configure the frame using companion Smart Frame app, which also provides access to “hundreds of art pieces”. The frame can be mounted on a wall vertically or horizontally using the snap-on mounting system, which also prevents cord tangles, according to the brand. The Smart Frame can be purchased in a range of frame colours and materials.
