Lenovo Tab 6 5G has been launched in Japan. The Chinese brand claims that it is the first 5G-compatible tablet in the country. The latest offering packs mid-range specifications and features.

The Lenovo Tab 6 5G packs a long-lasting battery unit, dust and water resistant certifications, ‘Kids Space’ and other features. The device goes up against the likes of Nokia Tab T20, Samsung Galaxy Tab A, Moto Tab G20 and others in the market. Read on to know what the tablet offers out of the box.

Beginning with the display, the Lenovo Tab 6 5G comes with a 10.3-inch screen bearing a resolution of 1,900 x 1,200 pixels. The device features a single 8MP front-facing snapper and an 8MP rear camera paired with an LED flash. The tablet is IPX3 and IPX5 certified dust and water resistant. 

On the hardware front, the Lenovo Tab 6 5G houses a Snapdragon 690 processor. It is coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card slot. The device draws its power from a 7,500mAh battery unit and runs Android 11 out of the box. It features facial recognition for security purposes. The Lenovo Tab 6 5G comes with ‘Kids Space’ designed for pre-schoolers, Google’s Family Link, ‘Learning Mode’ for elementary school students, and lastly a ‘PC mode’ that lets users use apps in split screen mode. 

Connectivity options on the Lenovo Tab 6 5G includes 5G network, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, and USB-C ports.

Lenovo hasn’t revealed the pricing and availability of the Tab 6 5G at the moment. It will be available for purchase in Japan from October 22nd in Abyss Blue and Moon White colours.
