Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme with HDR Touchscreen and Nvidia Graphics is Official

At the IFA 2018 tech expo in Berlin, Lenovo had announced ThinkPad X1 Extreme laptop in Core i5, Core i7 and Core i9 models. The Chinese manufacturer has now introduced the same laptop in India. Except for the Core i9 variant, both the other models of the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme have been announced for India. The notebook is designed to support for deliver top notch graphics and intensive performance. The ThinkPad X1 Extreme is now available with a starting price tag of Rs 1,97,471.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme Specifications

The ThinkPad X1 Extreme is equipped with a 15.6-inch IPS LCD touchscreen panel. The base model of the laptop has an Intel Core i5 8300H processor whereas the Intel Core i7 8750H processor powers the second model. Both models feature full HD resolution and 300 nits of brightness. These models are equipped with 512GB of PCIe SSD storage. The laptops come with a spill-resistant body which measures 361.8 x 245.7 x 18.4mm and weighs 1.7 kg.

The highest variant of the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme is also driven by the Intel Core i7 8750H processor. Its display supports HDR Dolby vision, 4K resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels and 400 nits brightness. It is packed with 1TB PCIe SSD storage. The advanced model of ThinkPad X1 Extreme weighs 1.8kg.


All the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme models feature 4GB Nvidia GTX1050Ti GDDR5 graphics and 16GB DDR4 RAM. Other common features available on all the three variants of the X1 Extreme include a 4-cell, 80Wh battery, 2×2 Wi-Fi 802.11a, Bluetooth 5.0, stereo speakers, two USB 3.1 ports, two USB Type-C (Thunderbolt 3) ports, a HDMI port and a audio/mic combination slot, a network extension port and a proprietary charging port. The ThinkPad X1 comes loaded with Windows 10 Pro. For security, it is equipped with fingerprint reader and infrared camera.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Pricing

The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Extreme has arrived in three models in India and it is exclusively available for purchase through the official site. The base model of the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 costs Rs 1,97,471. The second model is priced at Rs 2,04,479. Both the variants are already available for purchase. The highest configuration model that carries a price tag of Rs 3,02,015 is now available for pre-order. Its shipments will begin on January 10th.
