Yoga S940:

The Lenovo Yoga S940 was announced at CES and went on sale in May earlier this year. The Yoga series consists of convertible laptops and the S940 is no exception. The Yoga S940 is the world’s first laptop with Contour glass which means that the glass wraps around the edges. The laptop features a 13.9-inch display bearing a 4K resolution with 500 nits brightness and HDR support. It offers an impressive 90 percent screen-to-body ratio with 4 sided narrow bezels. In terms of audio, the laptop is equipped with a front-facing Dolby Atmos speaker system.

Design-wise, the Yoga S940 sports an aluminum unibody in an Iron Grey colour. There is a protruding notch on the top that accommodates the webcam for facial recognition using Windows Hello. It also supports an Eye tracking feature that allows the user to move content from the display to an external monitor just by glancing. On the dimensions front, the laptop weighs just 1.2kgs and has a thickness of 12.2mm.

Under the hood, the Lenovo Yoga S940 houses up to an Intel 8th generation Core i7 processor. It is paired with up to 16GB RAM and offers 1TB of PCIe SSD storage. The laptop comes with integrated Intel HD 620 graphics instead of a discrete GPU. Software-wise, the Yoga S940 runs Windows 10. It comes with AI features that automatically turns the display dark and saves the on-screen work as soon as the user steps away from the laptop. There is another feature called BackBlur that automatically blurs the background during a video call. The laptop comes with voice recognition support from up to 4m away.

The Lenovo Yoga S940 draws its power from a 4-cell 54 WHr battery unit claimed to last for up to 15 hours. It comes with RapidCharge support that is claimed to top up 80 percent of the battery in 1 hour of charging. Connectivity options on the Yoga S940 include two USB-C Thunderbolt ports, a USB Type-C port, and headphone/mic combo.

Lenovo has also refreshed the IdeaPad S145, S430 and S540 laptops in India. All the three models are available in different configurations with respect to display size, processor, graphics, RAM, and storage.
