In September last year, Lenovo launched its flagship Z2 Plus in India at a starting price of Rs 17,999. Available in two variants — 3GB and 4GB RAM, Lenovo Z2 Plus is the cheapest smartphone based on Qualcomm’s high-end Snapdragon 820 chip and Adreno 530 GPU. The good news, it is now available to purchase at discounted rates on Amazon and Flipkart. Yes, Lenovo Z2 Plus is no longer exclusive to Amazon.
Up front, Lenovo Z2 Plus comes with a 5-inch Full HD LTPS screen featuring the layer of 2.5D curved display on top. It is a dual-SIM phone with two Nano SIM slots, running internally on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. In terms of optics, the device offers a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, and EIS. For selfie enthusiasts, it features an 8MP front shooter with f/2.0 aperture and 78.9-degree wide viewing angle.
Lenovo Z2 Plus weighs 149g and measures 141.65 × 68.88 × 8.45 mm. It also has a fingerprint scanner, something the company calls U Touch. It is embedded up front which also doubles up as the home button. That aside, it comes with the support for 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi (dual-band), Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C port. Lenovo Z2 Plus now costs Rs 14,999 for 3GB RAM and 32GB storage and Rs 17,499 for 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.
To recall, Lenovo Z2 Plus was first unveiled globally as Lenovo Zuk 2 in May last year. However, Lenovo later confirmed that it has dropped the Zuk branding in India. Last week, the company introduced Lenovo P2 in India with a massive 5100mAh battery at a starting price of Rs 16,999. Lenovo has apparently been pretty aggressive in India with new affordable and mid-ranged smartphones being introduced at regular intervals.
